Joseph LaGrave

Systems Integration, Testing, and Operations

Joseph was born on a military base, grew up in a military family, and had the opportunity to live in many places. He joined the Army and served honorably for 6 years. He has the incredible privilege to be the father of 5 daughters and the husband to his wife of 33 years - both of which are the most rewarding things he has ever done in his life, and it brings him great joy every day!

After the Army, Joseph took a job writing commercial construction specifications for a roof consulting Company; subsequently starting his own small construction company. He initially focused on the areas where he had the greatest interest - Electrical and mechanical work. He was later able to expand his business to the point where he was performing all manner of construction; from dirt work to roofing and most things in between. He has built and remodeled both residential and commercial buildings.

While still in construction, he was invited to see a good friend’s rocket project; and everything seemed to come together from there! He volunteered to help, and over the next 13 years learned a lot while moving from volunteer to full-time employee. Along the way, he has amassed quite a bit of experience in areas related to aerospace. He worked in commercial cryogenics systems for light and heavy industry. After that company closed its doors, Joseph continued to work on aerospace projects for other companies. EXOS picked up the reigns of the prior company, and Joseph was asked back to resume his prior role. In his personal time, he is attending college classes at Collin College in pursuit of a Mechanical Engineering degree. He has found that he is most enthusiastic about advanced Mathematics. Joseph attends college along with 3 of his daughters as they pursue their further education! Joseph also enjoys target shooting and gunsmithing, when the time is available.
